Chris is in the lobby of the theater, pointing to his name on the cast list.
Here he is in the wig room with one of his wigs. This is the wig he wears in the "Don Juan" scene at the end of the show.
This is Chris's "Hannibal" costume. The beginning of the show opens with the cast rehearsing for "Hannibal, the Opera". Piangi is Hannibal and has to wear this gaudy costume, as well as climb to the top of an elephant! It is a very humorous part of the show. Chris always gets a good laugh.
And the "Masquerade" costume. The second act opens with the Masquerade Ball, and everyone has these bright, exotic costumes. It is definitely one of the highlights of the show. What Chris is NOT showing you is the purple wig he wears with his costume!
This is one of the candelabras that rises up out of the stage for the Phantom's lair.
And the world-famous chandelier. When Chris is not playing Piangi and in the ensemble, one of his jobs is to take the tarp off of the chandelier at the beginning of the show.
A few weeks ago, Chris was able to go to dinner with Jeff and Kim Klotzman in NYC before one of his shows. Jeff is the news anchor for Channel 34 news in Lubbock. He and his wife are big supporters for the arts and they, along with some other people, were in NYC to honor those who had attended and graduated from any of the Lubbock schools, who are presently in successful careers in the field of Fine Arts. Kim Klotzman took some pictures of Chris backstage at Phantom, and they are too good not to share!! Enjoy!!!!
