Carla's Diner, the Final Installment!!!

Carla's Diner, Part 3

Carla's Diner, The Finale

Please enjoy this last bit of Carla's Diner. Jordan already has plans for a new movie!! That one will be playing at a computer near you very soon! Other new things in the works are Jordan is reading just about anything she can get her hands on. She reads better than she writes, however and understandably. Her teacher tells the kids all the time that "if they can read it, they can write it". They do Writer's Workshop several times a week and most recently wrote a story to be displayed at the Literacy Festival. Jordan's story was adorable! It was about princesses (surprise, surprise) and the first few pages of her story are just that "fake" cursive writing that kids do. You know, they just basically scribble and call it writing! It is so funny!! But then the other day she wrote a story on her dry erase board about what she did for Spring Break, and she didn't scribble at all. In fact, she spelled alot of the words correctly, and it was a very well-developed story. Jaron is also learning many new things. For instance, he is actually riding his bike (with a little resistance). He wants me to push him instead of pedaling! He does better when Daddy helps!!!! And he has learned to recognize all of the letters in his name, and then some. He also knows "S" for Spiderman, "X", "W", "O", "M" for McDonald's, and (this is the sweetest one) "N" for Nana!!! Every time he sees an "N" he says, "Mama, Mama wook (look) a N for Nana!!" It is so cute. And the most accomplished thing he has done lately is that he is trying to write his name. Most of the time he just does 5 separate little scribbles, but the other day he actually wrote a "J" on a picture he made!!! I was so excited for him!! And he just beamed!!!!!!! He is a big boy!
