Our Shows.....

OK, I will admit it........I'm hooked. But I am not the only one. Chris and Jordan are too! So here are the TV shows we are hooked on and our opinions of them :)

Dancing with the Stars
~I am the only one who watches it for the most part. Jordan watched the results show with me this week because she didn't have school the next day.
~The paso doble from Warren's team was so good. If it were me I would have put Lance and Lacy on his team instead of Cheryl and Maurice.
~Carrie Ann was right about the Cha Cha team......they were awful!
~I think Brooke and Derek will and should win the whole thing.
~But Warren and Kim are cute (Warren reminds me of Chris).
~I also like Lance and Lacy's style.

The Office
~This is one of the funniest shows ever! I DVR it on Thursday nights and then Chris and I watch it together on Fridays. It's one of my favorite times of the week :)
~I love the fact that Michael uses the word "psyche".
~The world's smallest blue tooth.
~"Who are you talking to, Jim? Pam is not here!"
~The customer survey situation with Dwight and Jim was hilarious.
~The coffee mugs!!!!
~And what about Andy and Angela having their wedding at Dwight's beet farm? Oh my goodness!!!!
~And last but not least, that annoying guy needs to leave Pam alone and Jim TOTALLY needs to move to NYC. I mean, what is he waiting for?
~Anybody else out there watch The Office? What are your thoughts on the show? Come on, Ashley........help me out here!!!!

Ghost Whisperer
~Jordan and I watch this for Girl's Night.
~Jennifer Love Hewitt is so beautiful.
~I like this show because it is decent. It is just a good, suspenseful show......no trash!
~I cannot believe what happened to Jim this week (a different Jim :)!!!!!!!! Jordan and I both cried and cried and cried! Then again, this show always makes me cry.

Phantom Halloween

Well, in case you were wondering.....we made it to the city on Saturday!! All three kids were so good the entire time. Jaron had to Hulk-Out for David at first, and Jordan had to remind me several times, very loudly, how hilarious David is. (He's the son of Patricia, she plays "Carlotta" in the show and they live down the street from us.) But we survived the train and a very crowded subway :)
We were all ready for pizza by the time we got the kids changed into their costumes. We all ate in the lower lobby of the theater. I felt sorry for the person who had to clean it all up before the 8 o'clock show!!

Little Miss Lady-like!! Boy is she cute :)
We made a stop at the chandelier on our way to trick-or-treat at all of the dressing rooms.
Here's Jaron in Patricia's dressing room. He had to spin the Frankenstein wheel and do what it said to get his candy. It landed on "make a scary face".

Jordan had to do a silly dance!!
We couldn't walk across the stage to get to the other side of the theater, so we had to go under it.
This is my costume.......ha, ha, ha! It is really one of the candelabras that comes up from the stage floor during the show.
This is the tattoo lady. She was a riot!! Jordy got a dragon with a flower.
Jaron got a car that was almost too big for his hand.
This was their favorite stop along the trick-or-treating route. Dan is one of the dancers, and he was like a fox on speed! He was really funny...the kids are still talking about how funny the "fox" was.
Jordan is fishing at "Lake Erie". This is what Chris was in charge of last year. The first time she got underwear!!! Luckily the second time she got a goodie bag.
And Jaron got his turn too. It was hard to get a good picture because the back stage area is sooooo small.
We had a fabulous, awesome, super time. Trick-or-treating in a Broadway theater is hard to beat!!!!!! We all got to add another great memory to our lives.

Is Halloween Over Yet?

STULT'S FARM
Field Trip with Miss Estremera's Class

On the 23rd, Chris got to go with Jordan on her field trip to the Stult's Farm in Cranbury, NJ. They had so much........Jordan is still talking about it!

Halloween Bingo
Dutch Neck Elementary School

Last weekend we braved the wind and rain to go to the annual Halloween Bingo at Jordan's school. Just to be perfectly honest, we were a little bored!! It was OK the first couple of rounds, but by the 6th round of Bingo, we were all ready to leave :)

Jordan and Emma........we all got a kick out of the principal and assistant principal calling out numbers. They were saying things like, "G double 5" and "now this number is even" or "this number looks like a snowman". It was really silly!!!!
This is what Jaron did to pass the time.........he poked holes in the plastic tablecloth!!

American Trash Meal with our friends from the UK :)
And trip #2 to Stult's Farm.

Harriet, Jordan, Jaron, Carson and Bethan eating pizza and Easy Cheese on crackers. We also had queso made with Velveeta and Rotel and Tuna Helper. It was alot of fun!!!!!

Halloween Parade and Party
Dutch Neck School

Jaron really, really wanted to walk in Jordan's line with Joshua, who dressed as Venom. Jaron has his vampire teeth in his mouth and his bat in his hands!!
Jordy was the line leader for the parade :)
Little Mr. Jaron made himself a place in Jordan's class as they watched the rest of the parade.

And we were so glad to be going home!!! Jordan and her friend Fey walked to their cars together. Isn't that sweet? Her family is from the UK too.

Trick-or-Treating on Halloween Night

Our first stop was Emily's apartment.
We could not complete the night without a picture of Jaron and his sidekick, Emily. They have been inseparable this week........they played together all day Tuesday AND Thursday.

It would give me great pleasure to say that this concludes our Halloween celebrations, but we have one more adventure today. I get to take Jordan, Jaron and our friend David to the city for trick-or-treating at the Majestic Theater. Yes, you heard me correctly...I am taking three children AND their costumes on the train and through the subway to the theater......I hope I survive......I will let you know soon :)

Down Memory Lane

My dear friend, Ashley tagged all of her fellow bloggers to post their 6th picture from their 6th file. And since I can't resist tags, I just had to do it!!! This was Jordan's 5th birthday, and she and Jaron are helping each other lick the cake bowl! Most of the pictures we have stored on our laptop are more recent ones. The older pictures are on our hard drive, which is out in our storage room. I don't get in that closet unless it is absolutley necessary because everything always falls on me :) But here's a nice bit of trivia...Ashley and I were the same age as Jordan is now when we met and became friends. We were in Mrs. Prater's first grade class together. Mrs. Prater was one of my most favorite teachers. I am sure Ashley remembers even more about that year because she can remember anything!! She can still sing and dance some of the songs we did in show choir at Evans!!!!!! Of course, neither one of us will ever forget the Boxcar Children or Kirk Cameron:) I will say this, I hope and pray that Jordan and Jaron have as good of a friend growing up as I did in Ashley. She truly is a friend...she has always been there for me. I miss you, friend. And I love you!!

Halloween Festivities

We have been celebrating Halloween for a month now, and it's not even the 31st yet!!!!! Oh well, that's what you do when you have kids. Last Saturday we went to Terhune Orchards with some friends. This orchard is in Princeton, and they make the best apple cider donuts :)

The kids were a little aggravated with me because I made them get a small pumpkin. I explained to them that they could pick out any of the small pumpkins or they wouldn't get anything at all. They changed their minds...ha, ha!
By the way Grandad and Dee Dee, Jaron wore his Spiderman T-shirt for 3 days in a row :)

Then I had to convince them to wait until Sunday afternoon to carve their pumpkins so that Daddy could do it with us. They thought that was a great idea...and Jaron dressed for the event in his Halloween costume. I am so glad he wants to wear his chicken costume again. It is so stinkin' cute! Jordan dressed for the event in shorts and flip-flops........it was in the 50s!!!!!

And here are the finished products. Jordan's is the vampire one in the middle. What you can't see is that she gave it eyebrows and eyelashes. She said she was adding detail :) Jaron's is the friendly one on the left. Once we cut open the pumpkins and started scooping out the seeds and stuff, he wouldn't even think about touching any of it, in fact he didn't even want the newspaper it was on touching him.

I have included this picture of Jordan and Emma because it is a perfect depiction of their relationship. Emma's mom said it perfectly...they have a love/hate relationship. They are either giggling and squealing or crying and tattling. This picture is so funny because they were mad at each other, and I caught Emma's pouty face, and Jordan still took the time to smile for the camera :)

On another note, Chris and I have had TWO lunch dates this week WITHOUT children!!! Monday Jaron was at his MDO class, so Chris and I went to a really good Chinese place we hadn't tried before. When we got there it was 11:10am, and they didn't open until 11:30. We walked through the shopping center and went into Peebles, which I think is affiliated with Bealle's somehow. Anyway, we came out of there with 2 pair of Sketchers shoes, a pair of Mudd shoes and a summer top for me all for $60!!!! Yee-haw! Then we had dumplings, wonton soup, General Tso's chicken, and chicken with asparagus. We ate it all!! It was great. Today after I took Jaron and Emily to the library (one of my favorite times of the week), and after Chris went on Jordan's field trip, Jaron stayed at Emily's to play, so Chris and I went to On the Border so I could get my Mexican fix. We had guacamole live (they make it at your table), tacos, empanadas and Dr. Pepper. YUM!! And tonight, another episode of "The Office" comes on. I can't wait to see what idiotic things Michael pulls in this one. What fun things have you been doing this week?
