Jaron's Sixth Birthday

I have tried and tried and tried to keep our little boy a baby, but he is not. He turned 6 this week, and Wednesday he hops on the 'ol yellow dog and heads for school. We celebrated his birthday with the only person in his life that matters to him........Emily :)

I think Jaron talked about this day for a whole week, so we picked up Emily for an early lunch at Chuck E Cheese's.

Jaron rode this Barney ride a hundred times. He would put his arm around Barney, hold his hand, and then he "chased" the little girl on the ride infront of him.

We splurged 99 cents to get these Chuck E cups for the kids. They enjoyed them immensely!

All three of the kids ended up earning about 150 tickets each, so they were pretty pleased with their prizes. Jordan picked a package of clay and a purple barrette. Emily chose a microphone and an inflatable wand. Jaron chose 2 Laffy Taffys and an inflatable hammer. I really don't think I need to tell you the first thing he did with his hammer.......hint, it involved his sister.

After a couple of hours, we went back to our apartment and waited for the rest of Emily's family to come share cake and ice cream with us.

Jaron is a very devoted sea animal fan.......the cake was his idea, and helped decorate most of it.

Emily's mother Corrinna and Chris argued over who was going to take this picture. Eventually we decided just to let the camera do it!

We had a great day celebrating a great little boy's birthday!!! In honor of Jaron, here are the six things we like most about him:

~1 He has and always will have his own language. He says some of the funniest things that make absolutley no sense!!

~2 He has educated us all on the lives of many different animals, and he knows what classifies an animal as a mammal.

~3 He loves to be chased and tickled.

~4 He has an adorable smile.

~5 He is as quirky as they come!

~6 And quite simply, he is Jaron Christopher Bohannon!!

So sweet! Wes, Logan, and myself wish him a happy, late birthday!

You cracked me up with the hint on the hammer. Haha!

And don't you just love that you spend all that money on tokens for these toys you could buy at the Dollar Store for probably a dollar. lol What makes our kids happy. :)

Love ya'll.
