Jordan's 9th Birthday!

Jordan got to do something on her birthday that I would have died to do as a kid. She got to take her American Girl doll Molly to the American Girl Place on 5th Avenue in the city and shop for her. She had money from family and a friend that she wanted to spend, and spend she did! She used every last penny!!!!

Our beautiful 9 year old girl. She is such a joy to our lives.

She's done shopping!!!!

She brought Molly home with her ears pierced and got to work on her hair :)

And Jordan wanted a chocolate cake with pink icing. She made the whole thing herself. The only thing I did was spread the pink icing.

We are so proud of Jordan. She is so talented and smart and pretty and sweet and thoughtful. I could go on all day!! And she is SO loved by so many people. We are grateful for the love she has experienced in her life :)

Catch Up

Jaron and his buddy, Alp. They are two peas in a pod.

The last week of school I got to help in Jaron's classroom with their "Camp Out". They had earn points for the party and their teacher had the room transformed into a campsite. I helped the kiddos make s'mores :) It was a blast!!!!

That same day I stopped by the 3rd grade picnic. They have a huge party for the 3rd graders since they move on to a new school for 4th grade. Jordan and her Girl Scout friend Reva were in a contest to see who could get the biggest balloon hat. It was hilarious!

The last party of the year (thank goodness) was Jaron's class party. We had it outside with relay games, a craft and ice cream sundaes. This is Jaron's other little friend, Manasvita. They are adorable together!

I decided to do the egg/spoon race just for Jaron. It's his favorite :)

And FINALLY on the last day of school, and Jordan's birthday she had her Girl Scout bridging ceremony. Again we had a great time with friends!!

A Camp out, a Field Trip and Spidy

Jordan went on her first over-night Girl Scouts camp out a few weeks ago. She loved every minute of it!!!! Jaron and I spent the day at the camp ground and we all had a great time. We participated in an obstacle course, orienteering, and canoeing. A pretty little turtle swam right by our canoe and Jaron caught a frog. His day was complete.

Jaron's class took a field trip to the Plainsboro Preserve and I got to chaperone. It was fun, but really, really muggy and buggy!!!! His class is so funny. The little girls screamed any time a bug came their way and the boys were obsessed with finding creepy crawlies and anything that hopped or slithered. It was fun!!

We also went on a hike with the Boy Scouts recently as prospective scout members. Jaron has said alot lately about wanting to be a Boy Scout, and he loved the hike. I think this is right down his alley. They had an extra hat to give him and he wears it whenever he can!!

And today we got to go see the new Spiderman show on Broadway!! Chris got free tickets, even better. It was alot of fun! Spiderman flew over our seats throughout the show and we ALMOST got his web on us once!!! Remember when Jaron was obsessed with Spiderman? He was in superhero heaven tonight :) We had a great time........minus the annoying tunnel traffic :)

School Stuff

Today was Field Day at Dutch Neck School, and also "let's-get-rained-on-and-all-run-in- screaming" day!! Chris and I stopped by the school to watch the kids play for a while before it got rained out and they were sent in. They had a blast anyway!! This is a picture of Jordan and her sweet friend Khushi. We hear about Khushi every single day. They really enjoy each other...and she and her family are very, very sweet.

Jordan's class.

Jaron and his buddy Alp playing a frizbee relay game....Mrs. Tunnacliffe is looking on :)

Jaron, Alp and Jeffrey. I am telling you, these three are maniacs!!!!! They are so silly! Jaron and Alp just love each other...I hope they are in the same class again next year.

3rd Grade Chorus Concert........from left to right Haruru, Jordan, someone we don't know!, Olivia and Kaitlyn.

Girl Scout buddy Kira, Haruru (who just follows Jordan around like a puppy dog) and our neighbor Asia.

Jordan and Khushi again :) I think they are just absolutely gorgeous! Chris stayed home Wednesday to go to the concert with us. Khushi was so cute when she met Chris. She was beside herself with excitement! Her dad was equally as cute meeting Chris!! He said they talk about Phantom all the time in their home!

I am so thankful for my precious family. They just make me so happy, I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I do!

More Beantown

Hanging out at Boston Harbor, looking at all the pretty boats and water.....those telescopes were free....something unheard of in New York.

Showing off their aquarium purchases.......I just love those sailboats. I want to go back to look at them some more.

Our view from the harbor.

This is the street that the Paul Revere house is on. Brick road and old architecture.

Just awesome!

More to come!!!
