Jordan went on her first over-night Girl Scouts camp out a few weeks ago. She loved every minute of it!!!! Jaron and I spent the day at the camp ground and we all had a great time. We participated in an obstacle course, orienteering, and canoeing. A pretty little turtle swam right by our canoe and Jaron caught a frog. His day was complete.

Jaron's class took a field trip to the Plainsboro Preserve and I got to chaperone. It was fun, but really, really muggy and buggy!!!! His class is so funny. The little girls screamed any time a bug came their way and the boys were obsessed with finding creepy crawlies and anything that hopped or slithered. It was fun!!
We also went on a hike with the Boy Scouts recently as prospective scout members. Jaron has said alot lately about wanting to be a Boy Scout, and he loved the hike. I think this is right down his alley. They had an extra hat to give him and he wears it whenever he can!!And today we got to go see the new Spiderman show on Broadway!! Chris got free tickets, even better. It was alot of fun! Spiderman flew over our seats throughout the show and we ALMOST got his web on us once!!! Remember when Jaron was obsessed with Spiderman? He was in superhero heaven tonight :) We had a great time........minus the annoying tunnel traffic :)

School Stuff
Today was Field Day at Dutch Neck School, and also "let's-get-rained-on-and-all-run-in- screaming" day!! Chris and I stopped by the school to watch the kids play for a while before it got rained out and they were sent in. They had a blast anyway!! This is a picture of Jordan and her sweet friend Khushi. We hear about Khushi every single day. They really enjoy each other...and she and her family are very, very sweet.
Jordan's class.
Jaron and his buddy Alp playing a frizbee relay game....Mrs. Tunnacliffe is looking on :)
Jaron, Alp and Jeffrey. I am telling you, these three are maniacs!!!!! They are so silly! Jaron and Alp just love each other...I hope they are in the same class again next year.
3rd Grade Chorus Concert........from left to right Haruru, Jordan, someone we don't know!, Olivia and Kaitlyn.
Girl Scout buddy Kira, Haruru (who just follows Jordan around like a puppy dog) and our neighbor Asia.
Jordan and Khushi again :) I think they are just absolutely gorgeous! Chris stayed home Wednesday to go to the concert with us. Khushi was so cute when she met Chris. She was beside herself with excitement! Her dad was equally as cute meeting Chris!! He said they talk about Phantom all the time in their home!
I am so thankful for my precious family. They just make me so happy, I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I do!

More Beantown
Hanging out at Boston Harbor, looking at all the pretty boats and water.....those telescopes were free....something unheard of in New York.

Showing off their aquarium purchases.......I just love those sailboats. I want to go back to look at them some more. Our view from the harbor.
This is the street that the Paul Revere house is on. Brick road and old architecture.
Just awesome!

Boston
I am so slow. I guess it's because I am getting older. Some people get their pictures posted to facebook and their blog as soon as they take them, practically. I, unfortunately, am another story.
We FINALLY had our Spring Break the week of April 18th. And we were all off! Chris and I didn't work, so we decided we would use a little of our hard-earned money and take a short vacation. We hit Boston for three days, and ended up having a GREAT time!
The kids thought it was sooooooo far away, but I explained to them it was like driving from Lubbock to Dallas. Well, I was only half-way correct. Time-wise it was like driving from L to D. But otherwise it was not! Driving through the Tri-state area, including crossing the George Washington bridge to drive through NYC is not quite the same as driving through West Texas. It was just a LITTLE bit different. Traffic was just a little worse and we only drove through 5 states. I was excited because it was the furthest north I have ever been in the United States!I am posting these pictures in reverse. This is some of what we did the day we drove back to Jersey. We ate lunch at Cheers bar. No, the food was not that great, but the experience was :)
We sat in the room that had the replica of the set. Can't you just imagine Woody behind that bar?

Then on our way out, we walked around Fenway park. I really wish we had the time and money to take a tour, Chris would have loved it. And I have to admit, I thought it was pretty cool too!

This was the best view we could get of the field.
Chris, Jaron and Ted. Nice picture of my men :)
So there will be more pictures of Boston to come. As much as we love NYC, Boston was a much more pleasant big city experience. It was MUCH cleaner and much less crowded. We would love to go back sometime and take some of you with us!!
